EpiDirect® MLH1 Methylation qPCR Assay is a real-time PCR assay for the direct, semi-quantitative analysis of the methylation status of the MLH1 gene promoter from purified genomic DNA (gDNA) samples derived from solid biopsies (such as FFPE material) without prior bisulfite conversion. PentaBase’s PCR products and services are based on their proprietary Intercalating Nucleic Acid (INA®) technology. INA®-based oligonucleotides have superior performances in a wide range of PCR applications compared to standard DNA oligonucleotides due to the significantly higher target affinity and specificity. EpiDirect® MLH1 Methylation qPCR Assay is provided in a ready-to-use (pre-dispensed in PCR strip-tubes) format.

EpiDirect®: Determine DNA methylation without prior DNA treatment
The webinar introduces the EpiDirect® technology, which enables direct and rapid analysis of DNA methylation - especially of the MGMT promoter - by qPCR without prior chemical conversion of the DNA material. By using special EpiPrimer™ oligonucleotides that bind specifically to methylated DNA, the method offers high specificity and sensitivity, reduces artifacts and shortens the analysis time to less than two hours.
