EVlution™ is a compact bench-top tangential flow filtration (TFF) system designed for efficient concentration and purification of extracellular vesicles (EVs) and other molecules based on size. The system uses hollow fibre filter cartridges to create a low-shear, laminar flow environment that preserves EV integrity and biological function. EVlution™ reduces free protein concentration in the retentate during EV concentration (measured by BCA assay) while maintaining efficient EV particle recovery (confirmed by NTA). This demonstrates concentration and purification in a single step, saving time and reducing sample handling. The TFF system concentrates EVs, such as exosomes, from cell culture medium and other biofluids like urine. The recommended starting volume is 100 ml to 1 L. An innovative circulated-to-reversible flow switching mechanism reduces sample volume to below 10 ml. The adaptable design supports hollow fibre cartridges with various available MWCO and membrane areas of 94 cm² or 260 cm² (#TFF010 - TFF033). This flexibility enables processing of small clinical samples or up to one litre of conditioned media. Concentrated EVs can be further purified using Exo-spin™ columns and characterized with our EV assay kits. EVlution™ Digital System includes everything required to perform TFF isolation: the EVlution stand, a 94 cm² cartridge, the EVlution pump, the Evlution digital pressure gauge, one set of syringes, one set of tubing and valves, and accessories (clips and pressure gauge housing).
