The Papilloplex® HR-HPV DNA Kit is a qualitative real-time PCR-based test for the screening of 14 individual high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types in human cervical samples (E6/E7 region) in a single reaction. Using GeneFirst Multiplex Probe Amplification (MPA) technology, all 14 high-risk HPV types can be detected and differentiated simultaneously in a single tube. The detectable HPV types include 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68. Analysis software is available for evaluation with the Bio-Rad CFX96. In addition to the Papilloplex® HR-HPV DNA kit, the Papilloplex® HR-HPV mRNA kit has been developed to determine the risk of cervical cancer in HPV-positive individuals without the need for monitoring for persistent infection.
