Seraseq® Postpartum T21 (Trisomy 21) Male cfDNA is a reference material for non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) of fetal Trisomy 21 in pregnant patients via cell-free DNA (cfDNA) analysis. This product is derived from a naturally-occurring mixture of maternal and fetal circulating cell-free DNA in a pregnant donor’s postnatal blood sample (postpartum) whose male fetus has been diagnosed with a Trisomy 21 (Down’s Syndrome). The native cfDNA characteristics such as size profile of ~170 bp, SNP content and natural maternal-fetal size difference are preserved. This product is designed for use in NGS, PCR or microarray-based NIPT assays in steps that follow cfDNA isolation; and no further purification or DNA isolation is needed.
